Primary role of the Director of Ops is to oversee day to day operations which means working with CEO, Unit Directors and Program Coordinator to make sure everything is running smoothly. The Director of Operations conducts managerial and administrative duties which include staffing, onboarding, processing staff time sheets for payroll, ensuring Unit Directors submit attendance and programmatic reports in a timely manner, implementation of program curriculum, safety of the club members and compliance with all BGCA requirements.
Under the general direction of the Director of Operations, the Unit Director manages overall daily operations of a unit including oversight of youth development staff and club members.
Unit Directors also maintain proper record keeping of staff and club member files and manage the administrative functions of all program areas including BGC programming, daily attendance, grant and program reports, and employee timesheets. Must possess the ability to get along with diverse personalities while at all times displaying tact, maturity and flexibility; Possess strong communication skills, and the ability to exercise good reasoning and sound judgment. Strong computer skills are also a must.
The Youth Development Professional (YDP) is responsible for supervising and mentoring members. YDP's also implement various programs and activities offered to Club members that focus on academic achievement, healthy lifestyles and good character and citizenship.
