Each Club Program incorporates elements of a high-quality session within its content, including community builders, attention getters, collaborations, conversations, energizers, and reflections.
Provides youth with a comprehensive understanding of healthy lifestyles in order to prevent type 2 diabetes in Native youth and promote resiliency. Woven throughout the program are self-esteem and prevention activities. Programs draw from tribal traditions and history to learn about nutrition, food choices, media influences and the impact of diabetes.
A health promotion program, SMART Moves helps young people build the social-emotional skills to make healthy decisions and avoid risky behaviors. Sessions cover effective communication, decision-making and refusal skills.
Prepares young boys ages 11-14 for adulthood, teaching them valuable lessons and skills to pave the way for a positive adulthood. The program teaches responsibility, and implements highly interactive activities that focus on specific aspects of character.
For girls ages 8-18, this program provides resources on prevention education, health and fitness, and self-esteem for young girls and women.
Engaging homework help and tutoring program available for all ages. This program is designed to encourage club members to learn the importance of academics as well as to enhance their skills and knowledge with the subjects they learn in school.
Money Matters gets youth started now making good decisions for their financial futures. The program moves from teens’ current lives to preparing for financial life after high school and then young adulthood.
Part of the Triple Play suite of programs, Healthy Habits teaches youth about healthy eating. Young people develop skills, confidence and motivation to make nutrition choices that support an overall healthy lifestyle.
Career Launch encourages Club members to assess their skills and interests, explore careers, make sound educational decisions, and prepare to join our nation's work force.
